Airtight design for solid bassUnlike most subs, the 550P uses an acoustic suspension (sealed) cabinet design. A sealed enclosure more precisely controls the motion of the woofer cone than ported designs to give you smoother, more even response in the deepest frequencies. Included metal carpet spikes help decouple the subwoofer from the floor to improve bass impact while a front-firing driver reduces unwanted "boominess" and allows placement against a wall or in a corner to provide maximum bass output.
